Hey Sammers! It’s time for our Week 6 meeting and this week, we will be prepping for our Banquet. We will be collaborating to make this the most beautiful event EVER. Come stop by and help us make paper flowers and more STAY FOR OUR FUN AFTER EVENT! Come meet and greet our super friendly officers.

ALSO: Remember, our annual Benefit Banquet is approaching very soon! Pre-sale tickets are still $25.00 for students and $35.00 for guests, but will only be so until the upcoming general meeting so buy your tickets soon before prices go up.

Hey Sammers! It’s week four and it’s time for another general meeting! We will be having a panel of Flying Sams Graduates speaking about their life after being UCI Undergrads.

Remember to buy your tickets for our 10th Annual Benefit Banquet at the UCI Student Center. The event will take place May 7th from 6-10 pm. Dress will be semi-formal and dinner will be provided. Activities of the evening will include: Silent auction and raffle with wonderful prizes, Health professional guest speaker, Live music and entertainment, Announcement of our new, 2010-2011 board, and more! Dinner options range from a wide variety of Mexican cuisine that will be served buffet style.

We are offering a reduced price to students and guests who purchase their tickets BEFORE APRIL 30TH! Remember, this is our biggest fundraising event of the year so your participation directly benefits Flying Sams. Ticket pricing:

Hey Sammers! We hope that spring quarter has started off well for everyone. Our 1st meeting is WEDNESDAY of WEEK 2 from 5-6 in BS3 1200. We will have Jeopardy and a Yogurtland After event.

Hello all you Sammers out there! GET EXCITED! We will be having our Week 8 Meeting this Wednesday, February 24th at 5:00 pm in HSLH 100. At this meeting, we will be having a SPECIAL EVENT SPEAKER – Dr. Mark Rosen! If you don’t know him already from attending our clinic trips, this is a great way to get to know our resident physician, who helps the people at our El Testerazo clinic every single month. Come get to know Dr. Rosen and listen to his amazingly interesting stories, whether it be from his days helping out at the clinic or his days aiding others in need during the Cold War. Hopefully midterms are going well for everybody. In our week 6 meeting, we will be having speed socializing and committee announcements. In addition to the general meeting, we will be having an a member appreciation after-event with FREE KOREAN BBQ. The location will announced during the meeting so be sure to attend! As always, please join committee facebook groups (located on our main group page) to stay informed about committee activities and if you know any health care professionals who might be willing to volunteer or know others that might be interested, please contact one of the officers.

It’s time for the second general meeting of winter quarter. We will be having a MEDICAL SPANISH AND TRIAGE LEARNING ACTIVITY. Learn what we do in Mexico. This activity will include:

*Learning Medical Spanish Terms and Phrases
*Learning How to Take Vitals (Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Respiration Rate, etc.)
*Prizes!
