Hey there, everyone! On Friday, September 10th, we’re attending a TV show taping of the new show Melissa and Joey as a fundraiser. We have 2 people signed up so far and need at least 5. 5 can fit in our current car, but if someone else would like to drive in addition, we can maybe push the number in the party up. We’re meeting at 2pm at the flagpoles, arrive at the studio around 4:30 and the show lasts until 9:30. Email Gilliane at gprichar@uci.edu if you’re interested.

School is fast approaching, but join us for a clinic trip before we get back to the books!! We will have our next clinic trip on Saturday, September 18!!! Sign-ups will be open until Friday September 10 at midnight. Sign up asap, especially if you can drive or translate, we will be needing your help! We are still in need of more DENTAL health professionals to join us on the trips. Please refer any interested dentists or dental hygienists to our email, and we would love to give them more information on our clinic! As always, we are also always collecting donations for our patients and the local orphanage from clothes and shoes, to bedding and household items. September 5th Construction Trip

Hey Sammers:
Hope summer is treating you all really well!

BIG NEWS: We are proud to announce that plans have officially been finalized for the complete reconstruction of our severely rain-damaged roof. This has been a project in the works for many years, and the successful completion of our construction plans will ensure that our clinic will withstand the elements and provide healthcare for our wonderful patients for many years to come. In order to make these plans a reality, we are in desperate need of your help. The clinic trip will take place the entire day of SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 5th 2010. This is on Labor Day weekend.

WE ARE ESPECIALLY IN NEED OF:

- 25 to 30 STRONG YOUNG MEN-
The work will be labor intensive and if you have had construction experience in the past you may be especially interested in this trip. Please feel free to invite family or friends who may be interested as well, just make sure they sign-up on the link below.

-A MINIMUM OF THREE PICK-UP TRUCK DRIVERS-
We NEED you. If you drive a pick-up truck and wish to come we will take you. It is essential that we have large cars to fit the shingles and other materials in. We will most likely meet with you day before the trip or even earlier to load your car with the necessary materials.

-TOOLS-
If you have any construction tools at all (hammers, power tools etc) please feel free to bring them down as well.

-Additional details regarding construction trip day events, appropriate attire, and safety will be sent if you are attending the trip.

If you’re a masculine manly man aged 18-24 and would like to participate in a TV show taping to help out our club on Thursday, August 26, from 4:30-9:30 in Studio City, please email Gilliane Richardson at gprichar@uci.edu with your name and number and she will contact you to let you know if you’re one of the five lucky people who get to watch the taping of “Tim And Eric Awesome Show”! August 7th Anaheim Health Fair

The Anaheim Health Fair will take place this upcoming Saturday and we are very excited to be a part of the event this year! We hope Flying Sams will contribute to making this the best free community health screening event they have hosted in Anaheim to date, and if you are still interested in volunteering, you must confirm you attendance on the following spreadsheet by WEDNESDAY AUGUST 4, 2010 at midnight, after which I will send a finalized attendance list to the event coordinator:
